Accounts Assistant
Permanent Appointment - Glenrothes

Nicholas Hendry is currently working with a well-known, Fife-based business that is now enjoying a period of sustained growth. Our client is an instantly recognisable local employer that, due to continued expansion, is looking to hire an experienced Accounts Assistant, who has experience previous experience in Accounts Payable & Financial reconciliation.

This is a newly created role which has come about due to the continued expansion of the Group and the successful candidate will join the main finance team, based in central Glenrothes.

This position will see you responsible for analysing a high volume of financial information, where you'll be responsible for performing financial reconciliation, variance analysis, calculating & reporting on various revenue streams, accounts payable invoice processing & investigating any discrepancies.

The ideal candidate will be an individual who is financially minded and has previous experience with Accounts Payable invoice processing or a financial reconciliation focused role. Previous IT experience with Xero, or similar would be beneficial.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Analysing group invoice information, as well as, reviewing various income streams that have been sent to the shared service centre from the individual practices.

* Checking & Approving invoices Processed onto Xero for payment by the AP Team.

* Calculating various business incomes after deductions

* Variance Analysis based on previous months calculations & investigating discrepancies

* Responding to queries from internal stakeholders

* Assisting with new software implementation & verifying data integrity

* Assisting with an ongoing integration project

* Additionally, you'll assist with other ad-hoc Shared Service centre financial administration, such as Accounts Payable Reconciliations, Bank Reconciliation & Invoice Processing.
