We are working with an independent, local law firm who are seeking an Admin / Legal Assistant for a fixed term contract in their small & friendly Kingsbridge office.

You will support a small, busy department with all things admin and will be joining a professional yet down to earth and really supportive team.

This is a 6 month contract starting end of July.

We welcome applications from those with or without previous admin / office experience but this role would really suit someone looking to build up their CV and office experience. If you are organised, with a can do and enthusiastic attitude, excellent IT skills and would like the opportunity to work with a friendly, local team we would love to hear from you.

JOB TITLE: Admin / Legal Assistant (Litigation)

LOCATION: Kingsbridge

HOURS: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm)

SALARY: Dependent on experience

THE ROLE: You will provide admin support to the Litigation team and will be on hand to assist with a wide variety of tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department. Responsibilities might include:

Providing admin support to the solicitor
Ensuring client records and files are up to date
Faxing, photocopying and scanning
Filing and archiving
Typing and audiotyping of fee earner notes, records and correspondence
Gathering data for files, opening and closing files
Preparing documents
Liaising with clients and dealing with client enquiries
Booking client appointments and arranging meetings
Management of team diary and appointments
General ad hoc admin tasks


Strong computer and typing skills
Someone who is confident at managing multiple tasks at one time
Someone who can demonstrate a flexible and can do approach to work
A professional and polite telephone manner
Experience in providing excellent client or customer service
A team player
