Are you a Commercial Manager with Quantity Surveying experience in the water or construction industries looking for an immediately available fixed term contract role with hybrid working options?

My client are a leading Utilities Company and Supply to over a million customers in the Bristol area. They strive to be sustainable and make a positive impact on the local economy and community at every opportunity.

Due to experiencing a very busy period they are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to add support to the permanent team on a fixed term contract basis with immediate effect.

In this role you will be responsible for delivering the commercial management strategy and ensuring the business can make sound commercial decisions in relation to contract costs.

The Role:

Deliver the objectives of the commercial management function
Operating the change, valuation, dispute, and final account processes
Assessing and certifying the work done and associated contract payment applications
Monitoring, applying, and forecasting the contract incentive mechanisms
Auditing contract and business processes
Negotiating changes / commercial resolution of issues
Unit cost assessment and comparison to expected / targeted outcomes
Provide analysis and insight on contract performance and cost enabling business decisions
Identifying efficiency opportunities both in processes and contract performance
Monitoring, forecasting, and reporting on overall contract and process performance

The person:

* Significant level of Commercial Management / quantity surveying experience in a construction/Utilities environment
* A proven track record in cost management with demonstrable expert knowledge and experience
* Excellent communication skills at all levels and the ability to recognise, plan and deliver business change
* Degree or post-graduate qualification in Quantity Surveying
