Job Description

A long-standing client of ours in the Ipswich area are recruiting an experienced HR Business Partner to join their growing team. This is a full-time permanent position working a Monday - Thursday/Friday 9-day fortnight (every other Friday off) and paying a salary up to £40,000 per annum depending on experience. This is a newly created role due to the growth of the business and will be working in an HR team of 4 doing a generalist Human Resources and personnel role.

Main duties for this HR Business Partner Role will include but are not limited to:

Leading employee engagement initiatives to minimise attrition by analysing exit interview data and employee survey results, delivering actionable plans with the business, and tracking the success of initiatives
Continuous review of site policies and procedures, ensuring they are in line with current legislation
Delivering the resourcing and talent strategy, including internal and external recruitment campaigns
Partnering with hiring managers to deliver an effective and inclusive recruitment process, taking full ownership of the end-to-end resourcing process, with a key focus on reducing time to hire, and identifying opportunities for resourcing process efficiency's going forward
Acting as primary contact for employee relation's issues and resolutions, including performance management, absence, disciplinaries, and grievances
Conduct strategic workforce planning to identify and execute a talent agenda in line with future growth
Providing advice and guidance to employees and managers on the full range of employee relations issues
Facilitating training or workshop sessions with employees and/or leaders on subjects related to HR
Ownership and follow-up of occupational health management referrals
Initiating and submitting transactional requests for employees including requisition requests, compensation requests, change of status forms etc
Driving an environment of engagement, shared success, and continuous improvement
Contributing to team effort by proactively participating in and helping accomplish team objectives
Ensuring compliance with employment law, company policies and Conduct Guidelines

Key Skills & Attributes needed to be considered for this position:

Comfortable with generalist HR support activities and keen to develop strategic HR initiatives
Educated to degree level or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Management or similar
CIPD Level 7 (or working towards) is preferable
Minimum of four years HR experience - manufacturing industry experience preferred
Strong ability to balance between competing priorities and be flexible and creative in a highly dynamic environment
Strong sense of urgency and personal commitment
Excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
High level of trust and ability to maintain confidentiality
Demonstrate a drive for process improvement - appropriately challenge and question traditional ways of working and constantly look for opportunities to add value
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word)
Self-motivated and customer oriented
Willingness to travel (occasional travel may be required - mainly domestic)
