Job Description

Our Public Sector client is looking to recruit a HR Specialist Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) on a 12 month fixed term maternity cover contract as part of their Equality, HR and Employability Team.

Your main role will be to:

* Support, guide and coach Directors, Managers and stakeholders to ensure EDI considerations are built into all employment processes / practices and service delivery

* Recommend, implement and evaluate EDI initiatives

* Other EDI advice, guidance and support across the business

* Support the delivery of the EDI Strategy

* Work with colleagues in HR and OD to develop assurance processes

* Ensure policies and processes are legally compliant and reflect good practice

* Create local information resource in relation to EDI and promote the EDI agenda

* Support policy development

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

* Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion EDI in the workforce and community

* Managing sensitive caseloads and achieving positive outcomes

* Ideally CIPD Qualified or equivalent experience (HR Business Partner, HR Advisor, HR Manager, etc)

* Ability to engage and influence stakeholders

* Motivating others

* Developing policies and processes in a HR setting

* Ability to understanding and translate complex information to others

* Leading on HR initiatives

* Knowledge of employment law
