Key Account Manager (Food & Pharmaceutical)
£40,000 - £45,000 + Company Car/Allowance + Bonus
Hybrid role with travel
Commutable from Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton and Leicester
This is fast-paced working environment that requires an agile and robust approach to working with high-value customers. Main responsibilities include ensuring the utmost customer satisfaction and developing the profitability of the existing sales portfolio.
The Role:
Manage customer relationships to ensure they are receiving maximum satisfaction and value of services
Develop a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements through regular contact and meetings
Increase profitability of portfolio by cross-selling and up-selling
Sales reporting (Salesforce) and analysis of sales data to identify growth opportunities
Networking with customers to understand market and competitor activity
Responsibly for ensuring the annual growth of portfolio and key accounts
You will need:
Ability for regular travel visiting customers
Experience working with key customers in food, pharmaceutical, FMCG, chemical or oil & gas sectors
Ability to thrive working independently in a fast-moving industry
Customer orientated approach
Excellent communication skills to work with all business levels up to MD
Understanding of revenues and operating profits
Resilient and positive attitude
Commercial approach and ability to achieve sales targets
Excellent negotiation and ability to close complex sales
Outstanding organisation and presentation skills - ability to present literature to customers at a very professional standard
