SEMH KS2 Teacher

A Special needs school in Orpington is looking for an experienced Primary teacher to join their school in September to teach a class of pupils with SEMH needs.
The Role
You will be joining the school to teach a class of 6 pupils with SEMH needs in Key stage 2. You will be required to teach the class the core subjects of English, Maths and Science for the class, adapting the curriculum as required to allow the pupils in your class to access learning and make appropriate progress. The main focus will be for learners to have strong functional literacy and numeracy skills alongside developing creative and communication skills through a range of lessons and activities. In addition to class teaching, there is scope within the role to take on core subject leadership responsibility in either English or maths (TLR)
You will be supported by learning support assistants within your class. You should have a highly-professional, caring and committed approach to teaching pupils with SEMH.
