Salary: £44,624 - 47,665 (depending on experience)

Hours: 37 hour week (perm, hybrid working vacancy)

OVERVIEW:
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, driven and focused individual who will play a pivotal leading role in shaping the future of employability and skills development across the South Yorkshire region.
The role will involve development and commissioning of projects making sure Apprenticeships are at the heart of the employment and skills strategies for this region.

THE ROLE:
The Senior Development Manager will report into the Assistant Director of Skills for the Borough and will become the key point for Apprenticeships, leading in the area and working with internal and external bodies/stakeholders to achieve the required goals.
The Senior Development Manager will have responsibility for the design and development of policies, apprenticeships working with local, regional and national partners to shape, develop and influence the implementation of programmes that will build and deliver needs for productivity and growth across our communities.

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will be passionate and focused about Apprenticeships and must have previous experience of working across a range of organisations to manage projects building partnerships and experience of working within a "complex environment" with multiple stakeholder's (internal and external).
This is a challenging position and will require leadership, confidence, relevant experience, creating thinking, energy, drive and commitment with a 'can do' attitude.
Substantial knowledge of local and national strategies, policies and legislation.
Knowledge and understanding of qualifications funding.
Substantial experience of leading and managing programme design and development - including experience working within strategy, regulatory and inspection/audit regimes of the "Public Sector".
Experience of high level influencing of senior business leaders, elected members and other politicians in the design and development of strategies and programmes in pursuit of local objectives.
