Our mission is to develop foundational technologies that empower customers to harness AI effectively, utilizing Oracle's expertise in Generative AI, Database, and Analytics. In this pivotal role, you'll join a talented group of applied scientists and engineers to deliver high-quality Generative AI models, Data Agent, and Analytics solutions that provide confidence in data safety and protection for our customers.
We are in search of an outstanding applied scientist to spearhead innovative research and development in Generative AI and Data Analytics modeling. As a Senior Principal Applied Scientist, you will be at the forefront of architecting, building, and deploying advanced AI models and solutions at scale. Collaborating with a world-class team of scientists, you will explore new frontiers in Generative AI and work closely with software engineers and product managers to bring these innovations to market for enterprise use cases. Your contributions will be crucial in transforming Generative AI and Data Analytics at Oracle and within the industry.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on Generative AI and Data Analytics, emphasizing Large Language Models (LLMs), their architectures, evaluations, and optimizations.
- Design and develop cutting-edge LLM models and Agents to meet the highest standards of quality.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior scientists in the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate Generative AI capabilities into various applications and products.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities in Generative AI and Data Analytics, investigating emerging technologies for both Unstructured and Structured Data.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in the Generative AI landscape.
Qualifications and Experience
- PhD or Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in Computer Science (focused on LLM, Agent, Analytics) or related fields.
- A strong publication record as a lead author in top-tier journals or conferences within the AI/LLM/Analytics space.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in NLP, LLM, VLM, Retrieval, Enrichment, and Analytics.
- A proven track record of leading research and development projects successfully.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML algorithms and architectures.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.
