Department: Maintenance - 35213 Vacancy Number: TSP5668PST Temp Position Type: SHRA Temporary Job Category: Operations & Skilled Trades FLSA for Position: Nonexempt Brief Summary of Work for this Position: Perform work by applying methods and general procedures of the carpentry and painting trade. Utilizes techniques, tools and materials and equipment appropriate to trade. This position is responsible for pressure washing, scraping hand rails, painting, light carpentry and any other general maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor. This position has been designated as mandatory personnel for the University and may be required to report to work during adverse weather conditions even though the University may be operating on an alternate schedule. This position may assist in the removal of snow, ice or debris, as required. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Some general maintenance experience. Valid NC Driver's License or the ability to obtain within 30days. Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Knowledge of basic maintenance machinery and equipment will be helpful to perform tasks.
